United Ants : An interactive ant-colony layer developed for the United Ants festival website.

International Magic was already designing and developing the website when I joined the project. Together, we developed the idea of ants gradually moving across its interface. I was responsible for researching, designing, and building the simulation.

The final system combines a boids-based movement model with instanced 3D ants, procedural surface textures, and performance-aware population management. Ants enter and leave through the edges of the screen seamlessly, allowing the population to respond naturally to changes in the viewport. I delivered the finished interactive layer and supported its integration into the existing website.
